Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna have come together to entertain the audience with the power drama film, Kuberaa. The much-awaited film’s trailer was unveiled by the filmmaker Sekhar Kammula at a pre-release event in Hyderabad in the presence of the entire cast, including Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. The event had an extra dose of star power, with director SS Rajamouli attending as chief guest.
Kuberaa trailer review
The trailer of the film, Kuberaa, starts with the portrayal of Dhanush’s character, who is a beggar. He muses about the meaning of crores, which comes as a contrast to the character of film legend Nagarjuna’s character. The latter in the trailer can be seen announcing that ‘In this country, money and power work, not ethics or justice’, giving the audience a glimpse of the complex roles played by the two actors, who will be on the opposite ends of the pedestal.
The trailer also gives us a peek into the character played by Rashmika Mandanna. She will be seen as Dhuanush’s confidant, warning him about the world and suggesting that it will always be ruled by the powerful. However, the rollercoaster moment of the trailer comes as one of the characters in the film wonders, ‘How did a beggar throw a whole government into risk?’ The trailer wraps up on a powerful note, with Dhanush challenging the system itself.
The trailer, which is timed at two minutes thirty-nine seconds, is an intense drama that revolves around wealth, influence and the human cost behind it. While Dhanush’s role is driven and fierce, Nagarjuna is non-violent, setting interesting dynamics between the two contrasting roles. Rashmika, playing Dhanush’s love interest, further adds to the versatility of the film’s plot, and glimpses of action-packed sequences promise a story full of conflict and ambition.

The film Kuberaa received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after the necessary cuts were made to the film. The film was initially 195 minutes long, which was cleared by the board. However, it was later trimmed to 181 minutes. The filmmakers had clarified that the early certification was sought ‘to avoid last-minute stress’. The music in the film was made by Devi Sri Prasad, and the cinematography was by Niketh Bommi. It marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and Shekar and is backed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP.
