Kriti Sanon’s sister, Nupur Sanon, is the founder of the fashion brand Label NOBO. However, the clothing line has been facing massive flak online for its ‘ridiculous’ pricing for ‘basic’ clothes. Nupur made headlines for her clothing line, in which the cheapest dress was priced at Rs. 7000 while the most expensive kurta set was priced at Rs. 26,500. Netizens found these prices extremely unreasonable and shared their opinion on the same on Reddit, complaining about the clothes’ lack of premium quality and originality.
For the unversed, Kriti Sanon’s sister, Nupur Sanon, founded the brand Label NOBO in June 2024, in which NOBO, stands for ‘No Boundaries’. According to Nupur, the products are made with premium, high-quality fabrics. They were endorsed by several known names, including Kriti Sanon, Nupur Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi and Rida Tharana, among others.
Talking about the pricing, the ethenic wear starts at Rs. 8,500 and ranges up to Rs. 26,500 on the website. Western wear starts at Rs. 2,400 for a pair of shorts, and the highest-priced product in the category is a dress worth Rs. 20,000. While celebrity-owned labels are known to be comparatively more expensive, netizens feel that the price is too high for the look and quality of the product.

Reddit users are on a spree to troll the brand as they are unable to justify the price for such ‘basic’ looking clothes. A user penned, “150 rupaya dega.” While another wrote, “I have been to Jaipur and Jodhpur the past year and, honestly, have found better patchwork jackets from local markets for less than 1500.” A comment read, “Rs 750 last price. Deti ho toh bolo.”
Who is Nupur Sanon?
Nupur Sanon is the younger sister of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya actress, Kriti Sanon. Initially, she worked as a management trainee at Delhi Duty-Free before moving to Mumbai to follow in her sister’s footsteps in the entertainment industry. Nupur gained widespread recognition after she made her debut in B Praak’s Filhall alongside Akshay Kumar in 2019. The success of the song led to the making of the sequel Filhaal 2: Mohabbat in 2021, which marked the return of Akshay and Nupur on screen. The actress further made her acting debut post covid. In 2023, Nupur made her acting debut with the comedy-drama web series, Pop Kaun? on DisneyHotstar (now JioHotstar), starring alongside Kunal Kemmu and other notable actors. She also appeared in the Telugu film, Tiger Nageswara Rao in the same year, marking her entry into Telugu cinema.
