Khan Sir, the famous educator and YouTuber, gained a lot of traction after his wedding. Reportedly A.S. Khan’s real name is ‘Faisal Khan’ and he got married in a secret wedding in Bihar in May 2025. While his wedding was kept hush-hush due to India-Pakistan’s war-like situation, he hosted a grand reception for family, friends and relatives. However, the celebrations were overshadowed when social media users slammed him for being orthodox and forcing his wife to come in a ‘ghoonghat‘ on reception. Now, Khan Sir finally reacted to the claims.
Khan Sir breaks silence on his wife’s veiled look
In an interview with ANI, Khan Sir was questioned about his wife appearing for reception in a ghoonghat, and social media outcry over it. Khan Sir stated that he had told his wife not to appear in a ghoonghat, but she stated that it was her childhood dream. He further added that it is a bride’s identity as everyone gets decked up on the wedding and reception. Khan Sir said:
“Ghoonghat ho raha tha toh bola tha mai ne unko, yeh dekhiya wife ka hi decision tha ki humko ghoonghat mein hi bachpan ka shaq hai humara, ki her ladki ka sapna hota hai ki vo dulhan bane toh ghunghat mein. Kyunki dulhan ki pehchaan kya hoti hai, reception mein toh sab saj-dhaj kar aaye hote hai. Hume kahe ki log fir humko bolege, toh kahe ki mere bachpan ka shaq hai. Khan Sir on the trolling he faced due to his wife’s ghoonghat
Further, when the interviewer asked Khan Sir if he felt bad about all the trolling he faced due to his bride’s veiled look, the educator denied it and said that it was a culture he came from. The new bride is given sagan during the mooh dikhayi, and they keep their face hidden from the older men as it is India’s age-old culture. However, he tried explaining it to his wife. He said:
“Dekhiye hum gau se aaye hai. Humare gau mein ek culture hai. Shehar mein aake hum gau nahi chor sakte. Gau ka culture hai humare mein mooh dikhayi par, neg diya jata hai. Jo aurate hote hai ya chote hote hai umar mein vo mooh dikhayi neg dete hai. Lekin jo bade hote hai age mein, toh aaj bhi meri mummy bade aate unse aise nikal jate hai. Toh ek gau wala culture bhi rehta hai. Humare Bharat ki sanskriti thi, India ki culture hai. Halaki hum samjhaye the par thoop thuri sakte hai.”
Khan Sir shared he didn’t take a single off during his wedding
In the same interview, Khan Sir shared that his students were unaware of his wedding as he had not taken a single off. He attended all the classes, and even on the day of reception, he took a class in the morning. When the host enquired about the identity of his wife, Khan Sir stated that he wanted to keep it like this as she has her own identity, and it should not get overshadowed by his.
“Ladies ka apna ek identity hota hai, vo apna kaam ache se kare, apne office mein jaye, unke kaam ke badaulat unko jaane na ki yeh Khan Sir ki wife hai. Unke mehnat se kamayi hui cheeje hoti hai, aur usme kisi ko acha nahi lagta hai. Kisi or ka naam jod de acha nai rehta hai. Hume lagta hai individuality rehni chahiye.”
