Kate Middleton just made the case for lace.

On Monday, the Princess of Wales dressed to the nines for the Order of the Garter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, arriving at the parade in an ethereal look from one of her favorite brands, Self-Portrait.

Middleton, who has been absent at the annual event the past two years, was clad in a white dress ($570) made to look like a two-piece bouclé blazer and skirt set. The pleated bottom features delicate lace and the waist is cinched with a thin belt.

The royal accessorized the polished ensemble with suede taupe pumps, a white wide-brimmed hat from Sean Barrett, a vintage multi-strand Susan Caplan pearl necklace and pearl clustered earrings, also from the jewelry designer.

Always one to rewear her favorite pieces, Middleton actually wore the same Self-Portrait dress — with the same necklace and earrings — at a concert last month celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

For the performance, she styled her hair in a half-up curled look and wore suede heels as well as a black mini Chanel flap bag.

Order of the Garter — or Garter Day, as it is also referred to — was founded by King Edward III in 1348 and is the most senior and the oldest British Order of Chivalry, according to the British Museum

The royal skipped the service last year as she was undergoing cancer treatments at the time. Last September, Middleton announced that she completed chemotherapy.

After sharing the positive news, she’s resumed to her royal duties, including on Saturday when she returned to Trooping the Colour for the first time in two years, sweetly matching with daughter Charlotte in blue.
