Indian-origin musician Lara Rajagopalan, a member of the girl group KATSEYE, was targeted as she was reported to the ICE as an illegal alien. In a screenshot of the anonymous ICE tip form, someone claimed that Lara Rajagopalan did not obtain the necessary status to remain in the US. “There is an illegal alien in l.a known by the name Lara Rajagopalan, she has not obtained the necessary visa or legal status required to remain in the US and appears to be working and residing in the United States without legal authorization,” the apparent summary of the “criminal activity” other form read. This comes as ICE increased its raids and crackdowns across the country and president Donald Trump has vowed to expand the ICE raids, especially targeting sanctuary cities and Democrat power centers like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.“see you in the city jail @lararaj,” one posted. As this emerged to be a fanwar, Lara’s fans questioned that she has to deal with such things because of her Indian origin. “Reporting lara to ICE as a joke? that’s not funny, that’s evil. y’all do anything for attention even if it means ruining someone’s life,” one wrote.
