As per the reports, Sunjay Kapur was playing polo on a field in London, when he swallowed a bee. Later, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, which claimed his life at the age of 53. While several reports claimed that bee-stung inside of his throat could be the reason for his pain and eventual heart attack, some mentioned that cardiac arrest was the primary reason for the same. In the official statement of his company, it was mentioned that the reason for his demise was a heart attack only. To mention, Sunjay Kapur had no previous record of heart-related health issues.

Hours before his sudden demise, Sunjay Kapur took to his Twitter handle and shared a post on the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. What coincided that three days ago, Sunjay shared a note on the ‘limited time on earth’. As per the post, Sunjay Kapur mentioned that within the time a person has in their lifetime, they should leave the ‘what ifs’ to the philosophers and try to headfirst into ‘what nots’.
Talking about his personal life, Sunjay Kapur has been married thrice. In the 2000s, he got married to Nandita Mahtani, who’s a fashion designer. He was married to Karisma from 2003 to 2016, with whom he has two kids, Kiaan and Samaira. His third marriage was with Priya Sachdev, who’s an actor-turned-plotician. Priya and Sunjay have a son named Aazrius.
