Actor, Author and Producer Huma Qureshi voiced her enthusiasm for the film, applauding Ana de Armas’s fierce portrayal of Eve. Known for playing bold, layered characters herself, Huma noted how refreshing it is to see a female-led action film that doesn’t shy away from grit and emotion.
“Absolutely, I’m super excited. Ever since the trailers dropped I’ve been dying to watch this film and this is just the kind of film we need to watch on the big screen in a theatre and I can’t wait to watch it with all my friends and be cheering and hooting and clapping. I think it’s going to be one hell of a ride. I’m a huge fan of the John Wick series and this, I think, is going to be the ultimate homage, the ultimate spin off ever,” said Huma Qureshi with unmistakable enthusiasm.
Known for her dynamic roles and now stepping into the action genre herself, she draws a powerful parallel between watching and performing action.
“I think as a woman, it’s often perceived that we don’t enjoy doing action and we only enjoy doing the pretty girl parts. That is not true. I think the days I have to shoot a song or a massive action sequence on a film set is the most fun. Like the adrenaline in the room is just through the roof, and I enjoy doing action a lot. I think I’m good at doing action and I’m always rooting for more people to produce more and more films which are female led and are action driven and I think the audiences are ready for it.”
