    British couple’s heartbreaking final posts go viral, recorded just before the tragic crash

    British national’s ‘goodbye India’ post ahead of his Air India flight from Ahmedabad went viral after the plane crashed as soon as it took off for London on Thursday.Two British nationals Jamie Meek and Fiongal Greenlaw bid India goodbye calling it a “magical experience” before boarding the ill-fated London-bound Air India AI171 flight.London-based Yoga enthusiast Meek, along with his partner Fiongal Greenlaw, were on a trip to India and had concluded their journey in Gujarat on Wednesday.Jamie took to Instagram to share his memories and experiences and rued that it was their “last night in India” in his story.On Thursday morning, Jamie posted another video on Instagram story minutes before he boarded his flight to England from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. “Goodbye India…,” he said.Air India flight AI 171, which was scheduled to depart for London Gatwick from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, tragically crashed just minutes after takeoff at approximately 1:40 pm. There were 242 passengers on board with only one survivor.The duo was captured in a reflective conversation about their experience in India in what would become their final recorded exchange.“We are at the airport, just boarding. Goodbye India,” Fiongal announced to their camera to which Jamie responded “Goodbye. Uh and we’ve had a magical experience really. It’s been, yeah, there’s been some quiet mind blowing… mind blowing things have happened… we are going to put this all together and create a vlog. I think it’s my first ever vlog that makes me feel a bit but we’re going to make a vlog about the whole trip. Yeah and share it.”Minutes after takeoff, the unthinkable happened. The flight crashed with 242 passengers onboard, including Jamie and Fiongal.
