Melania Trump made a rare red carpet appearance on Wednesday, attending the opening night of “Les Misérables” at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Accompanied by U.S. President Donald Trump, the first lady showed off her penchant for luxury fashion, wearing a metallic pair of Christian Louboutin’s So Kate pumps with a Bottega Veneta dress.

Melania’s shoes featured a metallic finish in gold and silver and a pointed-toe silhouette, as well as So Kate’s signature 120-mm stiletto heel. The first lady has been seen wearing the So Kate style many times before, including at the G7 Summit and while boarding Air Force One.
The metallic patent leather versions of the So Kate, which Melania has worn, retail for around $745 to $800.

Melania paired the metallic heels with a black Bottega Veneta dress in matte crepe viscose jersey with signature metal drop details. The evening gown featured an asymmetrical neckline and draping across the waist.

The first lady sported her blond hair styled in loose waves that fell past her shoulders.
The event marked President Trump’s first visit to the venue since appointing himself chairman earlier this year and initiating efforts to restore the Kennedy Center. The evening was charged with mixed reactions, as Los Angeles remained under a state of emergency and curfew following days of unrest sparked by federal immigration raids authorized by President Trump. Vice President J.D. Vance and second lady Usha Vance also attended the event.
