Actor-producer Priyanka Chopra paid a heartfelt tribute to her father, Ashok Chopra, on his 12th death anniversary. A former physician in the Indian Army, he passed away on June 10, 2013, at the age of 62 after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Priyanka Chopra shared a nostalgic photo on her Instagram Stories featuring her and her father. The image shows a young Priyanka, bundled up in winter clothing, smiling brightly as she sits on the snow beside her father during a day out in the snow-covered mountains.
The heartfelt post was captioned simply, “Miss u every day, dad.”
Over the years, Priyanka Chopra has openly reflected on the lasting impact of losing her father, describing the grief as a constant part of her life. Speaking on the Read the Room podcast, she had shared, “After my dad passed away, I came to a slow but steady conclusion that the kind of pain would never go away. It’s your companion. So, if you are thinking of or waiting for the day when it starts hurting less, when it doesn’t affect you any more or when you get over it. You are never getting over it; it becomes a companion.”
“There will be days when it comes out in a biggish way and wants to stay over for dinner or maybe a week, and there will be days when you don’t even remember about it until you see a photo and you’re like (sigh). Any form of grief will have a duration in which it will become your companion, and you have to let it,” Priyanka added.
Priyanka Chopra is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming action-thriller Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller and co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba. The film is set to premiere on Prime Video on July 2. She also has several other projects lined up, including the period drama The Bluff, the second season of Citadel, and SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film SSMB 29 alongside Mahesh Babu.
