Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan sneakers may be most well-known in their Chicago Bulls red, black and white colors, but in the post-pandemic, TikTok-driven trend cycle, another look has emerged as a fan favorite. The Black Cat style, originally seen on the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 3, has become a modern day staple and while fans await the return of the former, another Jordan model is adopting the all-black theme.

The Jordan Flight Court sneaker has just been released at select retailers in an all-black suede colorway which matches the fan-favorite Black Cat look. While not part of the Air Jordan signature line, the skate shoe-like Jordan Flight Court is instead an accessible model which uses elements of classic Air Jordan shoes to create an all-new hybrid design. According to Nike’s official product description, the Jordan Flight Court features traces of the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 5 sneakers. 

The low-top Jordan Flight Court was introduced in September 2024 through a collaboration with NYC label Who Decides War, which specializes in distressed, dyed and intricately embroidered denim garments. Founded by Everard “Ev Bravado” Best and creative partner Tela D’Amore, Who Decides War revealed a Jordan Flight Court designed by D’Amore during New York Fashion Week. The velvet-lined black colorway was released in December and is set to receive a follow-up launch this summer in a Muslin color, the latter of which was recently teased by D’Amore on Instagram.

As for the Black Cat theme, it’s also had a big year, with the Air Jordan 3 returning in January. The most coveted version of the concept, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Black Cat, is expected to be released on Nov. 28 for Black Friday and is set to feature original-style Nike Air branding.

For those who are impatiently awaiting the Air Jordan 4 release, the Black Cat variation of the Jordan Flight Court can be found at retail now. JD Sports currently has a full-size run of the sneaker, which has a style code of HF3255-010, at a retail price of $105.
