When Deepak Tijori got to know that he was living with someone else’s wife

In 2017, Deepak Tijori made it to the headlines after reports of his tiff with his wife, Shivani made it to the headlines. The actor was reportedly thrown out of his home after which he consulted a lawyer. To his shock, Deepak realised that his marriage with Shivani was never legal as she didn’t divorce her first husband.

The revelation made Deepak and Shivani’s marriage null and void and made the actor realise that he had been living with someone else’s wife for the past 20 years. A report stated Deepak’s shock on his illegitimate marriage and said:

“After consulting a counsellor, Deepak happened to check if Shivani had divorced her first husband. Imagine his horror when he discovered that she had not!”

Shivani demanded alimony from Deepak Tijori despite their marriage being illegal

Amid the ongoing battle over Deepak and Shivani’s illegal marriage, the latter demanded maintenance and financial aid from her husband, leaving the actor in a difficult spot. Shivani revealed that she was a deserted wife and was entitled to get the money to fulfil the needs and expenses of their daughter.

While Deepak was not technically bound to pay any amount to Shivani since their marriage was null and void, yet felt pressurised. As per Deepak Tijori’s friend:

“Shivani’s marriage to Deepak is null and void if she hadn’t divorced her first husband. So why should Deepak maintain her cost of living? Samara is not a minor; she is 20 years old. So she doesn’t qualify for maintenance.”

Deepak and Shivani’s illegitimate marriage also strained his relationship with his daughter, Samara. She was closer to Shivani than Deepak, and the legalities of the couple’s marriage have only weakened the father-daughter relationship.

While Deepak lamented over his situation, his wife told the media that Deepak was aware of her first marriage. She had confided in him that her first marriage was a mistake and that she had not ended it legally. She also stated that Deepak had spent years with her while being aware of the situation. In her interaction with the media, Shivani also revealed that he was trying to defame her by showing his unawareness about her previous marital status.
