For the unversed, one of the killers, Raj Kushwaha, was said to be Sonam’s beau. When asked about Sonam’s speculated relationship, Raja’s mom said that she had no idea about the same.
Coming to the connection of Kamakhya temple in this case, Raja’s mom had shared some eye-catching details, wherein she mentioned that she sensed danger beforehand. She also felt sceptical when his son wore a lot of jewels for visiting the temple, and Sonam decked up as a bride. She even asked Raja why he wore the jewels, and he said that it was Sonam who convinced him to wear them.
The entire scenario of how Sonam and the other killers were caught
On May 23, 2025, Sonam and Raja went missing. Following this, the homestay owner lodged an FIR, and the investigation began. A few days later, Raja’s dead body was found in a gorge. Following this, the investigation began, and three killers were caught, one of them being Raj Kushwaha. Along with the same, Sonam was found in a dhaba in Ghazipur, UP. She was initially said to have surrendered to plotting the murder, and later, she mentioned that she was the victim, not the accused.
