Among all the current stars of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh seem to be shining the brightest on the work front. As contemporaries, both of them have seen ups and downs in their careers that have run parallel to each other. Both of them also gave superhits with their last two films in 2023, Ranbir with Animal and Ranveer with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The former was also once in a serious relationship with Bollywood diva, Deepika Padukone, to whom Ranveer Singh is now married. So, naturally, both of these actors have been pitted against each other as rivals in the industry. There are also rumours floating around that these two stars are embroiled in an ego clash. Karan Johar, who is close to both of them, has recently spilled the beans on whether these rumours are true or not.
Karan Johar addressed the rumours surrounding Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor’s ego clash
Karan Johar opened up about the equation of Ranveer and Ranbir with him and with each other as well in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. The director revealed that everybody understood each other very well. He stated that there is no ego and that it was a very old way of looking at their careers and perceiving ego clashes. Karan said that he doesn’t look at it from that point of view, and he was sure that neither of the stars did so either. In his own words, Karan Johar said:
“Everybody is very understanding of each other. There is no ego. This is all very old school of looking at it in that gaze or lens. I don’t look and I’m sure they don’t either.”
Karan Johar revealed that Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh had given feedback on each other’s films
Ranbir Kapoor’s last film directed by Karan Johar was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil; meanwhile, for Ranveer Singh, it was his super hit with Alia Bhatt, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The director revealed that Ranveer had visited him at his house and given him feedback on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Ranbir, on the other hand, had given him feedback on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Karan Johar also talked about their dynamics and said that, above everything else, they are all friends. In the same interview, he said:
“I remember after watching Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Ranveer coming to my house and telling me his thoughts. It was wonderful. Then Ranbir gave me feedback on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. I think we are all friends above anything else.”

Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor are both working on huge and highly anticipated projects. The Brahmastra actor will next be seen in the retelling of the epic, Ramayana.
