The entire nation is shocked yet again by a husband-murder case, just like the case that took place in Meerut two months back. This time, the wife was reported to have hired three hitmen to kill her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. The layers of this case are being unfolded by several revelations and investigations. While Sonam was reported to have surrendered to the police about being behind the plot of her husband’s murder, now her reported reaction might again change the direction of the investigation. For the unversed, the deceased’s brother has alleged that his sister-in-law had an affair and questioned if this might be the reason for the murder.
The Meghalaya murder case: Sonam Raghuvanshi claims her innocence in her statement after arrest
If the reports are to be believed, Sonam Raghuvanshi, in her first statement after being taken under judicial custody, has claimed her innocence. Reportedly, she has said that she was abducted and abandoned in Ghazipur, from where she was found in an unconscious state. As per Sonam, she is not the accused but rather the victim. A photo of Sonam after being arrested had gone viral, wherein she was seen in a questionable situation. On the other hand, the sources from the police have revealed that Sonam has shared that she was not the accused in the case and mentioned that she called her brother after reaching the dhaba in Ghazipur. As per the reports, Sonam has said:
“I Was Abducted, Abandoned In Ghazipur.”
Sonam Raghuvanshi’s alleged BF, Raj Kushwaha was also arrested
Raja Raghuvanshi’s brother, Vipin, has revealed that Sonam had an affair with Raj Kushwaha, who is a colleague of hers in her Sanmaika business. Reportedly, Sonam and Raj used to speak on the phone on a continuous basis, making it apparent they had something going on. On the other hand, police have arrested three hitmen in this case after an overnight raid. One of the three assailants had been Raj Kushwaha, who is accused to be Sonam’s alleged beau as well. Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police, during a press conference, shared the details about the arrest of these three hitmen. He said:
“The first person arrested is 19-year-old Akash Rajput, from Lalitpur. The second accused is Vishal Singh Chauhan, age 22 years, from Indore, and the third is Raj Singh Kushwaha, age 21 years, from Indore.”
Raja Raghuvanshi’s brother, Vipin shared some shocking details about Sonam Raghuvanshi
Raja Raghuvanshi had thought it would be a wonderful time of his life as he would be on his honeymoon with his wife, which turned out to be a nightmare for him. After his demise, his brother, Vipin broke his silence and mentioned that the couple had an arranged marriage and Sonam never mistreated her in-laws as well.
Vipin further revealed that the family members had no idea about the couple going to the Meghalaya trip in the first place, as they set out to offer prayers in Kamakhya temple only. He also stated that as the name of Raj Kushwaha has come up in this case, then the investigation is going in the right direction. On the other hand, Sonam’s family defended her and denied that she could commit such a crime of plotting her husband’s demise.
