A minor dispute between children turned into a deadly clash in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, leading to the killing of a 40-year-old woman named Sunita. The incident took place at a brick kiln in Bhagwatipur, where Sunita worked as a labourer.

The altercation began when Sunita’s grandson went to fetch water and got into a scuffle with other children. The matter quickly escalated and reached the elders, culminating in a violent confrontation.

According to the police, Rajkumar and Ramkishore, both residents of Sidhauli in Sitapur district, and Rambharose from Kamalapur, allegedly attacked Sunita. They first assaulted her with fists and kicks before hitting her repeatedly with bricks.

She was severely injured in the attack and rushed to Ramsagar Hospital, where she died during treatment.

Following the incident, all three accused fled the scene. However, police arrested them within hours near the Aramba canal bridge.

DCP North Zone Gopal Choudhary said that an FIR under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered at Itaunja police station based on a complaint filed by Sunita’s husband, Khelawan Manjhi.

All accused were working as labourers at the same brick kiln. The police are now conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
