A man who claimed to treat illnesses through tantric rituals was found dead in Gujarat’s Navsari, triggering panic among locals and prompting a police investigation that later revealed the shocking truth: the man had been murdered by one of his patients.

The healer, identified as Jinabhai, was known in his village for performing occult ceremonies to cure ailments. His body was discovered abandoned, raising speculation amongst residents about the cause of death – some suspected alcohol poisoning, while others feared foul play. Police were alerted and launched an investigation.

According to the Navsari Deputy Superintendent of Police, the accused, Dhirubhai, a resident of Waghabari, had been suffering from chronic stomach and chest pain. In search of relief, he approached Jinabhai, who promised a cure through a tantric ritual.

Dhirubhai agreed and was summoned to the riverbank at night for the ceremony. However, during the ritual, Jinabhai allegedly struck Dhirubhai hard on the back, triggering intense pain.

The situation escalated into a heated argument, and in a fit of rage, Dhirubhai reportedly grabbed a stone and fatally struck Jinabhai on the head.

Police have arrested Dhirubhai and initiated legal proceedings. The case has sparked discussions in the region about the dangers of unregulated occult practices and the vulnerability of those seeking alternative healing methods.
