Housefull 5 worldwide box office beats Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi’s opening collection
According to the trade website reports, Housefull 5 made a decent opening in India with Rs. 24 crore net and Rs. 28.75 crore gross on June 6, 2025. The film’s producers, Nadiawala Grandson, also claimed that the film made Rs. 24.35 crore net in India, with Rs. 12 crore collection from overseas. The combined total of the film stands at around Rs. 40.75 crores. The times have been testing for Akshay Kumar, with his film delivering below par for a while now.
The actor had two more releases in 2025, which also seemed to have worked against him. Akshay Kumar starred in Sky Force alongside Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan. The actor also returned to the big screen with the sequel of Kesari. The film shared the unseen story behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Housefull 5‘s figures have given the actor some hope. The film has opened on better notes than his previous films, including his 2021 Rohit Shetty film, Sooryavanshi, which had made Rs. 39.50 crore on its opening day. For context, even within the franchise, Housefull 4 had a Rs. 30.50 crore opening worldwide, making these numbers impressive.
