Steve Guttenberg revealed he and Caitlyn Jenner were asked to enhance their attributes while filming the 1980 camp classic “Can’t Stop the Music.”

“I did wear really skimpy shorts,” he told Page Six during an exclusive interview earlier this week, adding that the movie’s producer, Allan Carr, asked him and Jenner to “stuff our shorts with socks to make it look a little bigger.”

Guttenberg joked, “We didn’t need it by the way. I mean I told Alan, ‘No need for a sock!’”

The actor, 66, starred in a slew of popular movies during the ’80s and ’90s, including the “Police Academy” franchise, “Cocoon” and “Three Men and a Baby.”

The “Time to Thank: Caregiving for My Hero” author went on to share that he was always wary in regard to Hollywood hyperbole.

“I think you have to be very careful of your ego when you have success as an actor,” he explained, “because it’s a very fragile business and you cannot believe what you see. You’re very important today, and tomorrow nobody knows who you are.”

“So I have been very level-headed about it…and the rules of Hollywood are, we love you if you win and we don’t love you as much if you don’t win.”

Earlier this year, Guttenberg was featured in the news for his heroic efforts during the California wildfires after he took it upon himself to move abandoned cars so fire trucks could drive down streets.

His own house didn’t burn down but suffered “terrible smoke damage,” which will take a year to repair.

“Everything needs to be replaced,” he explained.

He’ll also be seen on the small screen in the Lifetime movie “Kidnapped by a Killer: The Heather Robinson Story,” in which he plays serial killer John Robinson.

“I thought it was an incredible opportunity, because to play a serial killer, most actors, you get one chance in your whole life to play a serial killer and this is a good one,” he gushed.

Guttenberg said that he “did a ton of research,” spent an hour and a half daily in the makeup chair and “gained some weight” for his new role.

“It was great,” the “Short Circuit” star gushed. “[I ate] ice cream, pasta, that part was really fun.”

Guttenberg has a new Lifetime movie in which he plays a serial killer.

Guttenberg, who is living in New York while his house is being repaired, has also won over fans on social media with his positive outlook and uplifting videos.

He explained that his parents “always taught me [that] you have two choices in the morning — to wake up and be miserable, think about what you don’t have, or wake up and be happy and think about what you have.”

“Kidnapped by a Killer: The Heather Robinson Story” premieres on Lifetime this Saturday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
