Aamir Khan’s fans are on cloud nine and cannot wait for the release of his next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. The storyline of the movie has not just impressed the fans, but the film will see two special cameos. Yes! You read that right. Aamir confirmed that his sister, Nikhat and mom, Zeenat Khan, will be seen in the RS Prasanna-directed movie. Aamir’s sister, Nikhat, is already an established actress in the industry and has been in movies earlier. However, this is the first time that Aamir’s mom will be seen on the big screen.
Aamir Khan reveals his mom had never accompanied him to work
In a group interview in Mumbai on Wednesday, Aamir confirmed the details of their presence in the RS Prasanna film. He also revealed that his mother had never accompanied him to his workplace and shared details related to his mother’s role. The actor shared how Zeenat was inquisitive to know about the shooting details, and then came and shot for a wedding-related song. In his words:
“Normally, Ammi doesn’t say she wants to come to my shoot. So, I don’t know what she felt, but the morning of the song shoot, Ammi called and asked, ‘Aap kahan shooting kar rahe hain? Humko bhi aana hai shooting pe aaj’ So, I said, ‘Chaliye, aaiye.’ I sent her the car and my sister brought her to the shoot. She came in a wheelchair. It was a happy wedding song, and we were having fun shooting for it while she was watching us.”

The actor also revealed that during the shooting of Sitaare Zameen Par, Prasanna had come to him with a request to make ammi ji part of the shoot for the last song of the movie. Aamir shared that in the movie, there is a wedding celebration sequence where Zeenat will be seen as one of the guests, which is an emotional thing for the actor, as he has always wanted his mom to be a part of the movie. Aamir did tell Prasanna that his mom would not agree, but he told her to try once. The actor then told his mom:
“Ammi, Prasanna request kar rahe hain ki aap ek shot do ek guest banke.She replied, ‘Haan theek hai. I was shocked! So, she is there in one or two shots. It’s the only film of mine that she has ever been a part of.”

Aamir was overwhelmed by seeing his mom and sister act in the movie. He also spoke about Nikhat and shared that she has a couple of scenes in the movie. The actor noted that his sister and mom will be sharing screenspace for the first time.
