In Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, police personnel came to the rescue of a bride whose brother was killed recently by goons during a robbery and the family was robbed of the money they had kept for the wedding.
Vineet Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police, and his wife Tanvi Jaiswal played an important role in the wedding as the groom’s family had cancelled the wedding out of fear, after the bride, Uday Kumari’s brother Shivdin, was killed on April 24, just two days before the wedding.

The police personnel, led by SP Vineet Jaiswal, not only gave the bride Rs 1 lakh 51 thousand in cash, jewellery and household items, but were also seen welcoming the groom’s family at the wedding venue.
Meanwhile, Gyan Chand, the leader of the dacoits who killed her brother and looted her wedding money, was seriously injured in an encounter with a Special Task Force (STF) team led by Inspector Arun Singh on May 8. He died while undergoing treatment at the government hospital. Gyan Chand has a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on him.
