The IPL 2025 finals are taking place between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings as the two teams are playing a match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. As usual, on the stands was Anushka Sharma, who came to support her husband, Virat Kohli and his team, RCB. She was praying for RCB to lift their first IPL trophy. However, she was left disappointed after Virat got out before even scoring a half-century.

Anushka’s reaction has been going viral the moment Virat was sent to the pavilion. He scored 43 runs in 35 balls, and he got out at a crucial point in the match. In the photos that have been circulating on the internet, Anushka looked strongly disappointed as she held her head in her hand. In another photo, she looks sad as she watches her husband return.

Anushka often comes in support of Virat in almost all his matches. When Virat announced his retirement from the Test Cricket format. Anushka took her Instagram handle and penned a lengthy emotional note for him. She mentioned how she was the one to witness Virat’s hard work, sweat, and tears.
Anushka further penned how people would talk about his records and the milestones, but she would remember the battles no one had seen him fighting. She praised him for doing his best in the game. She wrote:
“They’ll talk about the records and the milestones — but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler — and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege. Somehow, I always imagined you’d retire international cricket in whites — But you’ve always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you’ve earned every bit of this goodbye.”
When Virat expressed his happiness about not being recognised in London
In February 2024, we spotted Virat on several lunch dates with his daughter, Vamika. However, Virat and his family came back to India during the IPL 2024 but flew with the cricketer to New York for the T20 World Cup. In fact, Virat revealed that he likes it abroad as no one recognises him, and he was even able to spend quality time with his daughter, Vamika. He had said:
“We were not in the country. Just to feel normal for two months – for me, my family – it was a surreal experience. Couldn’t have been more grateful to God for the opportunity to spend time with the family. It’s an amazing experience to just be another person on the road and not be recognised.”
