However, recently, everyone was left in shock after Dipika Kakar’s husband, Shoaib, revealed that the actress was diagnosed with a ‘tennis-ball’ size tumour in her liver. Further, tests have confirmed that Dipika is suffering from stage 2 liver cancer. Despite the big challenge ahead of her, the actress expressed her optimism towards her recovery. Amid this, Shoaib Ibrahim has shared details about Dipika Kakar’s surgery.

Shoaib Ibrahim requests fans to pray for Dipika Kakar ahead of her tumour surgery

A short while ago, Shoaib Ibrahim took to his Instagram handle and shared a short update about Dipika’s health and treatment. He has revealed that her surgery has been scheduled for the early hours of June 03, 2025. The actor mentioned that it’s going to be a long surgery and his wife, Dipika Kakar needs the prayers of their fans. Requesting everyone to pray for Dipika, he penned:

“Dippi’s surgery is scheduled to happen tomorrow morning. It’s going to be a long surgery… she needs all your prayers & strength the most … Please keep her in your prayers.”

For those unaware, Dipika Kakar’s surgery was expected to be held soon after her liver tumour diagnosis in May 2025. However, when she started the weaning-off phase of her son, Ruhaan, who was dependent on her breastfeeding, she started experiencing immense pain. It soon turned into a fever and, later, flu. They tried to subside her fever, but when it didn’t happen, she was admitted to the hospital. Dipika was discharged last week and has been doing fine since then.

Dipika Kakar opened up about her cancerous liver tumour and shared doctor’s take on it 

After Dipika Kakar was diagnosed with a tumour in her liver, several tests were done to clarify if it was cancerous or not. The initial tests revealed that it wasn’t cancerous, but later tests confirmed otherwise. The actress shared that this illness is a ‘scary’ term for people, patients and their families. However, her doctors revealed that her illness is in its early stages and can be cured easily. Sharing an update about their 2-year-old son, Ruhaan, the actress said:

“Mumma theek nahi hai, wo samajh gaya hai. Ek aadh baar din me aake wo bolta hai mujhe, par wo samajh gaya hai. But yes, sab log hain. So, we are staying strong.”

Dipika Kakar, who rose to fame by playing the titular role of ‘Simar’ in Sasural Simar Ka, had earlier shared a note on her Instagram handle to update fans about her cancer diagnosis. The actress explained how the past few days following her liver tumour diagnosis were difficult for her and her family. She further mentioned that more tests confirmed that the tumour was second stage malignant (cancerous). However, Dipika stated that she was optimistic and determined to face the situation.
