Kareena Kapoor Khan, an important figure in the Bollywood and popularly known as the ‘Bebo’ of the industry, recently got candid and shared the changes in her lifestyles, schedules and priorities. Kareena highlights the need of maintaining a balance between her professional and personal lives, from having a disciplined daily routine to focusing on specific film roles.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s disciplined routine
Kareena has chosen a strict lifestyle, with dinner planned at 6pm and lights going off at 9:30pm. Her new routine gives her time for workout sessions and also gives some personal time before her kids wake up. She said that her friends respect her schedule, understanding her preference for quiet and personal evenings over late-night parties. Kareena shared:
“My friends know not to expect me at parties. And they respect that. They know I’ll be watching Schitt’s Creek on low volume!”
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s diet plan
Kareena follows a diet plan designed by her nutritionist, Rujuta Diwekar, which mostly is traditional home-cooked meals. Her day starts with fruits or soaked nuts, avoiding tea or coffee on an empty stomach. Breakfast includes dishes like idli, dosa or parathas. Lunch is rice or roti with vegetables or dal. She has a light evening meal, making sure dinner is done at 6pm, often of something light like khichdi or dal-rice. Kareena’s early dinner and bed time till 9:30, helps support her digestion, metabolism and overall well-being.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s household situation
Kareena recently shared the dynamics of her house and how the entire family works together to get the household chores completed. At home, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan enjoy spending time together in the kitchen. Saif is the one who loves Kerala cuisine and often experiments with dishes like idiyappams and coconut-based dishes. Kareena has admitted that she is not much of a cook but enjoys the family time they share. Even the kids join in, making it a group effort. She shared:
“We love cooking together as a family. Saif, the kids, me—we’re all in the kitchen. Saif is obsessed with Kerala cuisine. He’s always trying out new recipes—idiyappams, coconut-based stews, everything. Me? I need my one proper Indian meal a day. Non-negotiable.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s approach for films
In recent years, Kareena has shifted from chasing roles to now doing one or two projects annually in which she finds true joy. In an interview with Nod Magazine, she said while she has done vibrant roles like ‘Poo’ and ‘Geet’, she enjoys doing roles which challenge her. She believes her approach now is ‘Doing less is doing more’. Talking about her journey, she said:
“I’m happy I’m not chasing anymore. I see younger actors running from one thing to the next, and I just think: I’m glad I’m past that.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan on handling motherhood and her career
Kareena has constantly highlighted the importance of choosing films in such a way that align with her family time. She is not ready to compromise on her family time. She plans her work so that it does not take away time from her children, Taimur and Jeh. Kareena has shared that she often prefers staying at home with her husband, enjoying a quiet evening or watching a show, rather than attending award functions or glamorous events.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming projects
Kareena continues to be seen in unique and challenging roles. She was last seen in two hit films, Crew and Singham Again, both released in 2024. Currently, she is working on Meghna Gulzar’s crime drama, Daayra, which will also star Malayalam actor, Prithviraj in the lead role.
