    Jonathan Joss, ‘King of the Hill’ actor, fatally shot by neighbor in San Antonio

    Veteran actor Jonathan Joss, known for his iconic roles in King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation, was shot and killed on Sunday in San Antonio, Texas, during an argument with a neighbor.

    The 59-year-old was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega, when the situation escalated.

    Gunfire Erupts Outside Home

    According to the San Antonio Police Department and witnesses who spoke to TMZ, Alvarez-Cega pulled out a firearm during the dispute and opened fire on Joss, striking him multiple times. Following the shooting, Alvarez-Cega fled the scene in a vehicle, prompting a citywide search.

    Emergency services were immediately called, but despite paramedics’ efforts, Joss was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

    Officers received a detailed description of Alvarez-Cega’s car, and he was apprehended just a block away from the shooting site shortly after the incident. He has since been charged with murder, and his bond has been set at $200,000.

    Remembering Jonathan Joss

    Joss had a celebrated career in television and film. He was best known for voicing the character John Redcorn in the long-running animated series King of the Hill and for portraying Chief Ken Hotate in Parks and Recreation. His work often highlighted Native American characters and narratives.

    Beyond these roles, Joss also made appearances in popular shows and films including Ray Donovan, The Magnificent Seven, True Grit, and Tulsa King. His contributions to entertainment, especially as a Native American actor, were widely recognized and appreciated by fans and colleagues alike.

    Investigation Ongoing

    Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal dispute. Authorities have not yet disclosed the motive behind the shooting or whether the men had a history of conflict.

    The unexpected loss of Joss has sparked an outpouring of grief from the entertainment community, with tributes continuing to emerge in his memory.
