Netflix released the trailer for ‘Squid Game Season 3’ on Saturday, teasing more thrills and greater fears this time. At the core of it remained a brutally devastated Gi-hun, who’s still dealing with the death of his friend Jung Bae. “Why did you let me live?” he screams as Front Man confronts him, “Player 456, do you still have faith in people?”
Deadlier games, including the one exploring the fear of heights (which was missing from season 2), make for the rest of the trailer. ‘Every game comes to an end’, teases the video, hinting at the possibility of this one being the grand ultimate survival play-off.
The giant creepy doll reappears, along with the famous game ‘Red Light, Green Light’. The trailer also shows the return of the old Tug of War game from season 1. However, what really sends chills down the spine is the brutal showdown in the same children’s room. We also see Gi-hun coming face to face for a talk with the Front Man – a definite iconic moment from the series.

After the ending of Season 2, featuring the death of Jung Bae following Gi-hun leading a group of players against the Front Man, this one will reveal more secrets. What the audience knows, but Gi-hun doesn’t, is that the Front Man is In-ho, a former Squid Game winner who rose to become the head guard, secretly operating under the disguise of Young Il as Player 001.
The new season will premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2025.
