Parambrata Chattopadhyay is a popular Bengali actor who is best known for playing the role of a police officer in Vidya Balan’s Kahaani. Now, the biggest and the most important, sweetest kahaani of his life started as the actor and his wife, Piya Chakraborty, have welcomed a baby boy. There has been no official announcement by the couple about the arrival of the boy, but a report by The Calcutta Times wrote about the same. It was in 2023 that Piya and Prambrata got married, and it was on Valentine’s Day 2025 that the then parents-to-be announced to the world that they were expecting a baby in June 2025.

A report by the publication stated that Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s wife, Piya Chakraborty, and their infant son were doing fine. The time and date of birth have not yet been revealed, and the couple has also not yet shared any official post. However, the mother and the little one are safe and health-wise, also doing fine. The couple had earlier taken to social media to make the sweetest announcement that they were expecting their little bundle of joy. They expressed their joy as their family was expanding and already had their cute pets- a cat called Nina and a dog, Bagha.

Parambrata had earlier shared on his social media post that both he and his wife were pretty late for the Valentine’s party. The actor then shared a set of three images- the first one being a sweet picture of him and his wife, followed by a picture of his dog, who was the eldest furbaby. Parambrata then shared a snap of their cat, Bagha, who entered their lives in 2024. The announcement post shared by the couple read:
“Baby on the way. We were busy with this: This is us. This is our eldest, Nina. Then last year came Bagha. Our bubble of love is growing: a human being to join the tribe soon.”
When Parambrata Chattopadhyay put an end to his hush-hush wedding rumours
In the past, rumours were doing that Parambrata and Piya had a secret wedding and kept everything under wraps. The actor had called the turn of events totally untrue. For the unversed, Piya was earlier married to ace musician, Anupam Roy. It was in 2021 that they got separated since she loved Parambrata. However, during the time of her divorce, she denied the claims. It was on November 27, 2025, when the actor got married to the mental health activist and clinical psychologist, Piya. She is also a musician, and the couple had taken to social media feed to announce the news of their wedding. The couple got married in the presence of their close ones and families at Parambrata’s Kolkata home on November 27, 2023. They had a private, legal wedding. Sharing the snaps, the actor wrote:
“Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky“ This is it (sic).
The couple has been known to be private about their relationship, and even during their courtship period, they did not let anyone know about their private life. Neither Parambrata nor Piya ever publicly even acknowledged being in a relationship.
