Actor Saif Ali Khan recently shared what success really means to him, and it’s not money or fame. According to him, a true success is spending time with family, even if it means saying no to work.
Speaking at the Arab Media Summit, the actor said, “I hate coming home and seeing my kids already asleep. That’s not success.”
He further defined what success means to him, “Success is being able to say, ‘No, I need to go home now to catch that half hour with them.’”
The 54-year-old added that he doesn’t work when his kids have holidays, because that time is very special to him.
Talking about his life now, Khan said, “I’m at that crazy age where I have to call both my mother and my children. You think it’s just your parents you need to check on – then you realise it’s both.”
He also spoke about how small moments with family matter the most. “Work is important, but so is cooking pasta together, having a meal, and focusing on the kids. That’s the real glue of life. For me, success is being able to say no to work and yes to my family,” he opined at the event.
On the work front, Saif has some exciting films coming up. He will reportedly be seen in ‘Race 4‘, a biopic with director Rahul Dholakia, an untitled project with Priyadarshan, and a social thriller directed by Hansal Mehta.
Recently, Ajay Devgn and Kajol also voiced their support for the demand for eight-hour work shifts for new mothers in the film industry. They mentioned that this positive change is gradually being accepted by many. The couple shared their views during the trailer launch of their upcoming film ‘Maa’.
