TV actresses, Falaq Naazz and Dipika Kakar once used to be thick friends in the industry. The duo bonded while together in Sasural Simar Ka, where Dipika played the lead role and continued to be together till her marriage. However, gradually they drifted apart and Falaq has been vocal about it. Recently, Dipika Kakar was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer and got the best wishes from the television industry. And despite their broken ties, Falaq also tried to reach the actress. In a recent interview, the Radhakrishn actress opened up about the same.
Falaq Naazz reveals she called Dipika Kakar
Falaq Naazz recently sat down for a brief conversation with Telly Masala, where she was asked about her reaction to Dipika Kakar’s cancer diagnosis. In turn, Falaq revealed that she did try to reach out to Dipika and Shoaib after knowing about her health concern. Her call went through, but no one answered. In her words:
“I have tried calling both of them (Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika). Call laga but answer nahi ho paya, meri baat nahi ho paayi Dipika se personally but I really hope that she will get through it. Allah usko Shifa de, usko tandustri de, mai yahi dua karungi.”
Falaq, who played the role of ‘Jhanvi’ in Sasural Simar Ka, revealed that if she is able to talk with Dipika then she would also go to meet her in-person. However, for now, her calls haven’t been answered and she feels that Dipika and Shoaib might be busy with their hospital visits.
Falaq Naazz revealed her friendship with Dipika Kakar gradually fell apart
Falaq Naazz and Dipika Kakar’s friendship was a well-known fact in the industry, and the former even attended Dipika’s nikah with Shoaib at his native place in Bhopal. However, their friendship faded over time. In a previous interview with ETimes, Falaq opened up about it and shared that she can not be someone’s second option where a person talks to her only when they are free. She said:
“I’m asking that you speak to me daily. But when I’m in trouble, at least stand with me and show your support. Our relationship started to fall apart slowly, and it did not happen overnight. Priorities changed from her side and not mine. Meri Shaadi nahi hui Abhi tak.”
Dipika Kakar requested fans to keep her in their prayers
Meanwhile, Dipika Kakar and her husband, Shoaib, shocked fans when they revealed her cancer diagnosis. Earlier, the actor had revealed that Dipika was diagnosed with a ‘tennis-ball sized’ tumour, and later, Dipika took her Instagram handle and shared a note. She revealed that a few tests confirmed her cancer diagnosis, which is one of the most difficult times in her life. However, she is hopeful and positive that she will recover soon. In her words:
“I am all positive and determined to face this and walk out stronger, InshAllah! With my entire family being by my side and All the LOVE and PRAYERS pouring in from all of you I will sail through this too! IshaAllah. Keep me in your prayers! Lots of love. Dipika”
