Alex Warren and Jelly Roll went all the way back to the Middle Ages in a music video for their new single “Bloodline.”
Released Friday (May 30), the clip begins with Warren barricaded inside a medieval tavern. According to a brawny extra, there’s apparently a dangerous war raging outside. “The enemy shall be upon us by nightfall. This tavern will be our tomb,” the stranger warns as the opening strains of the song kick in.
From there, Warren attempts to rally his fellow citizens to fight on the first verse as he sings, “In the dead of night, on that broken road/ I won’t let you walk alone/ Oh, my brother/ You don’t have to follow in your bloodline.”
However, his efforts are pretty much fruitless until a hooded, smoke-shrouded Jelly Roll steps in to pick up the call to arms. Hilariously, though, just as the two whip the entire tavern up into an enthusiastic frenzy, someone bursts through the door to declare the war is over and the enemy has been vanquished. Now there’s nothing left to do but drink!
Warren and Jelly Roll released “Bloodline” earlier this month, just weeks after debuting the duet live at the latter’s Stagecoach set in April. Its release coincides with the continued success of Warren’s breakout single “Ordinary,” which he performed at the 2025 American Music Awards on Memorial Day.
Meanwhile, Jelly Roll has been busy providing support on Post Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour, where he recently welcomed Eminem as a surprise guest in Detroit.
