    Jessica Biel Celebrates the Launch of Her Wine Label in Quilted Chanel Loafers

    Jessica Biel is a fan of the loafer trend. The actress stepped out on Wednesday in a quilted take on the rampant style to celebrate the launch of her wine label, Prophet & Poet, in Healdsburg, Calif.

    Biel wore Chanel‘s lambskin moccasins, featuring interlocking Cs and a quilted flap reminiscent of the fashion house’s iconic handbags, for the occasion. She paired the shoe with leather trousers that featured a moto-inspired belt and zipper pockets, a loose-fitting white T-shirt, and a zip-up black cardigan embellished with metallic beading.

    The “Rules of Attraction” star completed her look with a silver chain necklace and an assortment of silver rings that she flashed while holding a bottle from her wine brand she founded with Justin and Rose Biel, Jesse Katz, and Chris and Ariel Jackson.

    Prophet & Poet, which debuted on May 22, was inspired by Biel’s brother’s wedding where she gave him a one-of-a-kind bottle of wine from winemaker Katz.

    “Prophet & Poet began as a personal gift, a symbol of love and connection within our family,” said Jessica Biel via a statement. “Watching it evolve from that special moment into something we can now share with the world is incredibly meaningful, and I’m excited for others to experience the story and spirit of these wines.”

    As for Biel’s loafers, they’re right on trend, with celebrities favoring the shoe as a go-to classic. Just this past weekend Bella Hadid stepped out in Gucci’s Jordaan horsebit loafers. Over the past year, Demi Moore and Katie Holmes have also taken their spin on Gucci’s horsebit-topped loafers. Not to mention Scarlett Johansson, Jenna Ortega, and Queen Letizia of Spain have also recently favored loafers.

    Over the next year, however, sneaker loafers may become increasingly popular as footwear brands rev up their own takes on the hybrid shoe. From New Balance, there is the 1906L, which stems from a Junya Watanabe collab version that surfaced in early 2024 and was released at the end of the year, and the Hoka Speed Loafer.

    “The loafer trend should continue as long as brands can stay creative with model and material variations,” Tarek Hassan, founder and chief executive officer of Concepts, told FN this past March. “I think we are approaching its peak in trend and growth but will continue to live on as a unique offering for consumers.”
