On May 20, 2025, a man named Suhail forcefully kissed a burqa-clad woman in a narrow Meerut lane, then fled the scene. The woman was walking with a child when the incident occurred. Traced through CCTV, Suhail was arrested on May 26. A video from the police station shows him limping, held by cops, apologising with folded hands — saying it won’t happen again.
