When it comes to red carpet dressing and performing on stage, Jennifer Lopez never skimps out on the fashions. It’s no surprise that the superstar delivered a number of statement looks while hosting the American Music Awards last night. (Playing dress up is half the fun of hosting a show, after all.) Working with her go-to stylist duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, Lopez brought seven different outfit changes to the ceremony. And, naturally, all of the ensembles revolved around her signature style: over-the-top glamour.
To kick off her stylish evening, Lopez walked the red carpet (rather, the purple carpet) in a flowing nude gown by Defaïence. The low-cut silhouette featured silver hardware and a cascading train—her take on a more free-spirited boho look. Once she hit the AMAs stage to begin her hosting duties, the shimmering dresses continued on. There was her ab-bearing Bronx and Banco dress covered in oversized bijoux and crystal fringe; Or her silver Miss Sohee dress with an embellished teal floral cape. Her AMAs fashion M.O? More is more.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a J.Lo wardrobe without a catsuit When the star hit the stage to perform a special medley of hits, Lopez emerged in crystal-covered catsuit with cyborg detailing—like she was a high-fashion robot. Given she delivered seven impressive outfit changes, she certainly is a machine.
