There’s no question that Gloria Estefan has had one of the most decorated careers in Latin pop music, and the singer herself decided to prove that as a fact at the 2025 American Music Awards.
Appearing on stage at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Monday night (May 26), the Queen of Latin Pop herself gave fans a rundown of her hit-filled career. Dressed in an all-black outfit accented by feathered sleeves and a bedazzled corset, Estefan jumped from hit to hit in a three-song medley performance at the annual ceremony. She kicked things off with her 1987 hit “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” before jumping all the way up to 2025 with her latest single, “La Vecina (No Sé Na),” all while giving her best salsa steps on the stage.
Of course, Estefan gave fans a taste of one of her biggest tracks in “Conga,” while shouting out the iconic dance track’s anniversary from the stage: “Happy 40th birthday ‘Conga,’” she declared mid-song. “You know what? You still got it.”
Estefan was just one of a dozen or so performers at Monday night’s awards, including stars SUCH AS Icon Award recipient Janet Jackson, lifetime achievement award winner Rod Stewart, Benson Boone, Becky G and host Jennifer Lopez. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar led all nominees at the ceremony with 10 in total, including for artist, album and song of the year.
The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media.
