Sean “Diddy” Combs was devastated that he could not attend his twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs’ high school graduation in person last week, Page Six has exclusively learned.
“He was heartbroken not to be there for such a monumental moment in the twins’ lives — graduation and prom,” a source exclusively tell us, also taking note of another special occasion the twins recently shared.
“It meant everything to him,” the insider adds. We’re told Diddy, 55, has repeatedly said he is “fighting for his life and wants to get back to his family.”
Despite not being able to attend the milestone celebrations, a source with knowledge of the situation tells Page Six that the rap mogul provided his relatives with specific instructions for the big day.
“He specifically asked the family to focus on the girls and to stay out of court so they could be together and fully present for them; especially since Kim [Porter] was not present,” a source says.
Jessie and D’Lila’s mother, Kim Porter, sadly died in her sleep in November 2018 from pneumonia.
Although both of their parents could not be present, we’re told “the entire family,” including the twins’ godmother Kimora Lee Simmons, was at the graduation.
“They are trying to stay as strong as they can and united for their dad,” the insider concludes.
Diddy had taken on the role of Jessie and D’Lila’s primary caretaker for years — until he was arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution charges in September 2024.
The Bad Boy Records founder has been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center as he fights his mounting legal woes. Jessie and D’Lila, like most of his seven kids, have visited him in prison.
It’s been reported that Porter’s close pal Lawanda “Lala” Lane is taking care of the girls in the meantime.
The young ladies and their siblings have continued to maintain a strong union as Diddy’s trial has been underway in Manhattan federal court.
They’re often seen holding hands while walking into court, and have sat inside the courtroom during difficult testimonies from their dad’s ex Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, male escorts and former employees.
Aubrey O’Day — who was signed to Bad Boy Records from 2005 to 2008 — has criticized the “Making the Band” producer for having his kids sit through the trial, calling the decision “selfish” and “concerning.”
Page Six has reached out to Diddy’s reps for comment on the backlash but has not heard back.
The trial, which kicked off May 5, is expected to last about six to eight weeks. Diddy has maintained his innocence and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
