Corsetry fashion was trending on the 2025 American Music Awards red carpet. Stars embraced both classic and contemporary interpretations of corsetry, blending old Hollywood glamour with modern edge for the awards show ceremony held Monday in Las Vegas.

Throughout the night, Nikki Glaser, Leah Kateb, Tara Yummy, Jordan Chiles and more guests donned lace-up looks in various forms, from sculpted bodices on evening gowns to more avant-garde, architectural interpretations. The use of leather fabrics and daring cutouts amplified the trend.

Nikki Glaser

Styled by the duo Dani + Emma, Glaser wore a black strapless gown from Yara Showmaker’s fall 2023 couture collection. The dress featured dramatic corset-inspired lace-up detailing running down the entire front center, from bustier bodice to floor-length hem.

Jordan Chiles

Chiles wore a white dress from Marine Serre’s spring 2025 collection. The dress featured a strapless bodice with an oval cutout at the chest, accented by delicate corset-style lacing. The fitted silhouette transitioned into a voluminous mermaid skirt with textured lace fabric.

Leah Kateb

Kateb wore a fall 2003 Versace dress featuring a corset-style bodice with front lace-up detailing and sweetheart neckline. The fitted silhouette embraced the body before flowing into a floor-length skirt with a dramatic thigh-high slit. Multiple lace-up accents run down the torso, creating a bondage-inspired aesthetic.

Tara Yummy

Styled by Tabitha Sanchez, Yummy wore a black dress from Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s fall 2024 collection. The halter dress featured a plunging neckline with corset-inspired lace-up detailing and metal grommets along the bust.

The 2025 American Music Awards air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET and will be available for streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime, with on-demand viewing available the following day for Paramount+ Essential subscribers. The show features a star-studded lineup of performers, including Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson, who will also receive the Icon Award.
