Racist UK YouTuber makes unsubstantiated claims about Indians in a viral X post.

British YouTuber Miles Routledge, known as “Lord Miles” and for his racist comments, trolling on social media, again targeted Indians and claimed that Indians abroad lie in interviews. Sharing an anecdote, the authenticity of which remains questionable, the YouTuber wrote that he has a friend in Google HR who told him that 80 per cent of the applications are from Indians with “a vast majority of them lying in the interview in such an obvious ways (sic)”. “One claimed his brother helped found Google, another said he ‘helped the CEO get the job and that he’d return the favor’. Apparently ‘most, if not all’ cannot speak English and the Google team ‘cannot stand their accent’. With in person interviews, many have described ‘personal hygiene issues’,” Miles wrote opening a floodgate for Indian-haters. “They don’t view lying and cheating the way Westerners do. If you scam or cheat someone in India you are considered the smart one who ‘beat’ the other. They take it as a point of pride,” one wrote. One US person claimed to have been managing some hiring for a few tech roles. The person claimed that Indians often lie about not requiring a visa and have 20 years of experience. “The real scam is that they have an F-1 visa and then all claim they have some sort of plan to never need sponsorship. And then, if you’re an idiot and hire them, they ask for sponsorship within weeks. And then quit when you tell them no,” the person said. F-1 visa in the US is a student visa. “It’s well known that Indians only hire other Indians,” one wrote.Miles Routledge in 2024 joked about launching nuclear bombs against India and faced backlash from the online community. Known as an adventure tourist, Miles gained notoriety in 2021 when he was stranded in Afghanistan during the Taliban’s takeover. He chose to visit Afghanistan after he found out that it was listed among the most dangerous countries to visit on Google. In 2023, he was detained by Taliban intelligence.
