The next day, Gen Zaman told a meeting of senior officers that he was unaware of several strategic decisions despite the military’s active role.Yunus was also expected to meet leaders of former PM Khaleda Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami, following his call for talks amid the evolving political situation in recent days.
