From original colorways to new looks which accentuate the model’s finer points, fans of Nike’s remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble sneaker have had plenty to choose from this year. With warmer weather fast approaching, the brand’s output isn’t waning, as a new women’s-exclusive spin on the retro running sneaker is headed to stores soon.

A brand new Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble colorway in Vast Gray/Hyper Pink/Pure Platinum/Platinum Tint/Black has surfaced from retailer JD Sports. The women’s style sports a predominantly Vast Gray upper, which is a soft, barely gray shade which translates to more of an off-white appearance. Similarly light hues of Pure Platinum and Platinum Tint are added to the mix, but this sneaker’s standout color is the pops of Hyper Pink which highlight its branding, updated Air bubbles and signature eyelet loops.  

Nike’s rollout of Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble colorways has been varied. Some styles, like the anticipated Bright Mandarin look, have been seeded to brand partners such as designer Veneda Carter, who have helped drive interest in the upcoming launches. Other pairs, like a recent women’s-exclusive Hydrangeas variation, have arrived at retailers and e-commerce stores with little advance notice. It’s likely that this Vast Gray/Hyper Pink iteration will receive a similar treatment. 

The reworked Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble model has received enthusiastic acclaim from longtime fans of the sneaker and industry figures. For the sneaker’s 30th anniversary, Nike sought to make the Air Max 95’s appearance and comfort closer to the 1995 version. Over time, the visible Air units in retro versions of the shoe grew increasingly smaller, but this year’s version has been tweaked to (almost) match the look and feel of the originals.

Without an official release date, this Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Vast Gray/Hyper Pink sneaker is set to arrive at retailers later this year. The upcoming style has a SKU of IB6396-002 and its retail price is $180.
