Kriti Sanon stepped into the film industry with her debut in Heropanti, 11 years ago, starring opposite Tiger Shroff, which released on May 24, 2014. Marking the anniversary, Kriti took to Instagram stories to share rare behind-the-scenes moments from the romantic drama, giving fans a nostalgic glimpse into the film that launched her Bollywood journey and wrote, “11 years of living my dreams as an actor.”

Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film centred on two young lovers struggling to protect their love in a harsh and violent environment.

Heropanti, which was a remake of the Telugu film Parugu, also marked Tiger Shroff’s Bollywood debut. A sequel, Heropanti 2, starring Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tara Sutaria, was released in 2022.

Currently, Kriti is busy filming Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishq Mein. For the first time, she is paired opposite Southern superstar Dhanush in this project. Presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow, the film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman.

Jointly produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, the screenplay for Tere Ishq Mein is written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. Serving as a spiritual successor to the 2013 film Raanjhanaa, Tere Ishq Mein explores themes of unrequited love and emotional conflict in greater depth.

The teaser of the film showed Dhanush sitting on a wall engulfed in flames, accompanied by the words, “From the world of Raanjhanaa.” In the background, a voice can be heard saying, “Pichli baar to Kundan tha, maan gaya, par iss bar Shankar ko kaise rokoge?”

Kriti’s first look as Mukti from the film also created a lot of excitement. In the scene, she is seen walking through a chaotic, warlike environment while pouring petrol on herself and holding a lighter, ready to set herself on fire.

Tere Ishq Mein is scheduled to release in both Hindi and Tamil on November 28.
