Bollywood actress, Mouni Roy was seen making a mark in a sleek black gown at the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. The elite and prestigious Festival de Cannes has been going on from May 13, 2025 and will end on May 24, 2025. The festival is not only celebrating global cinema but is also defining historic moments in the fashion calendar. Mouni did create a mark at the festival, but netizens think her face looks different.
Mouni Roy’s look at Cannes leaves netizens disappointed
Mouni had posted an array of pictures on her Instagram handle where her Cannes look was seen. She slayed in a black gown and showcased minimalist fashion. Her presence on the red carpet was poised, elegant, and represented her style internationally. Even a video of the actress showing off her glamour on the red carpet went viral, but Redditors revealed her face looked different. One Redditor, seeing the clip, commented, “I want just going to type this!! There’s something with the eyebrows as well.”
Another social media user wrote, “She’s spoilt her eyebrow forehead part..it always looks like she’s worried.” One user went back to the days when Mouni used to play mythological roles on TV and wrote, “Yesssss.. people usually go back to her Mahadev look as reference, but she was Krishna Tulsi before that. There’s a considerable difference in those looks as well.” Few called her an alien and commented on her audacity to say that she did not get anything done on her face. One user even wrote, “She is looking a lot better than she did at the start, but somewhere along the way she lost looking like a real woman.”

Mouni’s black gown had blue lacy embellishments that adorned the border and bodice of the gown. It did add a touch of intricacy and contrast to the sleek design of the gown that had a dramatic train along with a thigh high slit. She was the muse of the elite and luxurious brand, Chopard, and to complete her look, she wore a pair of diamond necklaces that added a dash of glam to her red-carpet look. Mouni, for the accessories, kept it simple and minimal and just wore a statement diamond ring that complemented her look. Her hair was perfectly styled into an elegant bun, and she slayed the centre stage with nude makeup, black eyeliner, kohl-rimmed eyes, soft-tinted cheeks and a nude lip shade. Mouni Roy cleans the house, cooks food after coming back from Cannes 2025
Mouni has come back from the Cannes Film Festival, and, a while back, posted a clip where she was seen cleaning her home and cooking a delicious meal for her husband, Suraj Nambiar. Mouni had posted a boomerang video where she was seen making food at her home that consisted of a bowl of noodles and salad. She had captioned the video as:
“Meal for 2. Love cooking/cleaning and being a housewife after so long.”
It has been three years since Mouni and Suraj got married. It was in 2019 when they had first met and in January 2022 the couple got married in Goa. They had a Malayali as well as a Bengali wedding.
