Pakistan’s top army commanders said that the country will not be pressured by threats of any military force. The meeting comes a week after India and Pakistan agreed to stop military operations following a four-day period of intense cross-border exchanges.

The 270th Corps Commanders’ Conference was led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, who met with senior military leaders to assess the current security situation inside and outside the country. The high-profile meeting was held on Thursday at the army headquarters in Rawalpindi.

In an official statement after the meeting, the Pakistan Army said, “No one can coerce Pakistan through the use or threat of force. The nation will take all necessary measures to safeguard its vital interests.”

COMMANDERS SAY PAKISTAN RESPONDED WITH RESTRAINT AND CLARITY

According to the PTI report, Pakistan asked for a ceasefire after India struck military sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (Pok). These attacks came in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people.

In response, Pakistan’s army leadership said, “Pakistan responded with strategic restraint and operational clarity, upholding both deterrence and moral authority.”

The commanders restated their commitment to defend the country from any threats. “Pakistan’s unyielding resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any act of aggression or misadventure” remains strong, the statement added.

Field Marshal Munir instructed all commanders to be ready to respond to future dangers. “The people of Pakistan are our greatest strength. We remain committed to their trust and expectations in our shared struggle against any foreign aggression, terrorism and extremism,” he said.

The military leaders also discussed the growing threat of terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They agreed that Pakistan will not allow peace to be disturbed.
