Presented by Smiley Films in association with Reliance Entertainment, Chidiya is a soul-stirring, slice-of-life drama hitting theatres across India on May 30, 2025.

Written and directed by Mehran Amrohi, Chidiya tells the moving story of two young brothers, Shanu and Bua, who live with their single mother. They dream beyond the bounds of their modest Mumbai chawl. Their journey to turn a junkyard into a badminton court becomes a metaphor for resilience, imagination, and childhood innocence.

Starring Vinay Pathak, Amruta Subhash, Inaamulhaq, and rising stars Svar Kamble and Ayush Pathak, the film has already made a mark on the global festival circuit—earning awards for Best Film and Best Debutant Director, and receiving selections at festivals like Zlín IFF (Czech Republic), South Asia IFF (New York), and Cinekid Screening Club (Amsterdam).

Director Mehran Amrohi calls the film “a love letter to our childhoods”, was touched by Pathan’s support.
