On Friday, May 16, Bollywood Hungama broke one of the biggest stories of the year that Paresh Rawal has quit Hera Pheri 3. The development sent shockwaves not just among the fans but also among the team of the film. On Monday, May 21, it came to light that Paresh Rawal has been sued for Rs. 25 crores for his sudden exit. What caught the eye of many movie buffs was that it was Akshay Kumar’s company, Cape Of Good Films, which sent the legal notice to Paresh Rawal and not Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, who made Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006).

A source explained the reason behind it saying, “It is Akshay Kumar’s company Cape Of Good Films, which is producing Hera Pheri 3. Akshay went to a lot of lengths to put up the project and also invested in the prep as well as the pre-production. All the contracts and paperwork are happening through Cape Of Good Films. This is one of the reasons why Priyadarshan came on board, along with the persuasion by Akshay Kumar, with whom he shares a close bond.”
The source continued, “However, Firoz A. Nadiadwallah continues to have a stake in Hera Pheri 3. He’ll be credited in the film as a producer as well as a presenter.”
Yesterday, Bollywood Hungama published another viral article wherein Priyadarshan blasted Paresh Rawal over his behaviour. He said, “After Akshay asked me to come on board, I came up with an idea for Hera Pheri 3, which everyone liked. Yes, Paresh loved it too. We even shot a bit for the film, and everyone was happy. There was no sign of any unhappiness from Paresh.”
Priyadarshan also revealed, “When I heard about his decision, I messaged him to ask what happened. He replied saying I shouldn’t try to call him because he didn’t want to talk about it, and that he does not want to disrespect me. Is this how you show respect?”
