Wamiqa Gabbi, who has recently completed shooting for Bhooth Bangla, described being part of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s film as “a childhood dream.” She took to Instagram stories to share a picture from the shoot, showing herself and Akshay Kumar near a waterfall.

She wrote, “From hysterically enjoying all ‘Akshay Kumar Priyadarshan’ movies all my life to now being a part of their world. This had been a childhood dream. Thank you to the coolest @ektarkapoor ma’am, the most amazing @akshaykumar sir, and the sweetest @priyadarshan.official sir. It was a FUNtastic experience Cannot wait for you to experience #BhoothBangla Aaaaand my second film with my most favourite @tabutiful ji.”
On May 18, Akshay Kumar announced that the shoot for Bhooth Bangla had been wrapped up. He shared a video on Instagram, where he was seen filming a romantic song with Wamiqa Gabbi.
In his post celebrating the completion of the horror-comedy, Akshay wrote, “And that’s a wrap on #BhoothhBangla! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive @priyadarshandir sir, my second outing with the unstoppable @EktaaRKapoor, and my first but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories.”
Showing her gratitude for Akshay’s appreciation, Wamiqa Gabbi wrote in the comment section, “Akshaaaaaaaay sir…Thaaank you for the kind words sir…Had the best best best time shooting with this team. Absolutely FUNtastic.”
Co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, the story of Bhoothh Bangla has been written by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay crafted by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The dialogues for the highly anticipated drama have been penned by Rohan Shankar.
Along with Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhoothh Bangla also features Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Mithila Palkar, Jaaved Jaaferi, and others in prominent roles.
The much-anticipated film is scheduled to hit cinemas on April 2, 2026.
