While the trailer was praised for its action-packed drama, one particular scene has started online debate. There was an intimate scene where Kamal Hasaan and Trisha Krishnan were featured. Netizens started criticising the age gap romance. There was also another intimate scene, featuring Kamal Haasan and Abhirami, which received mixed reactions.
Some found these scenes ‘unnecessary’ because of the nearly 30-year age gap between Kamal Haasan and Abhirami, while some argued it to be normal. A user tweeted, “This is the problem with us .. taking and focusing on kiss scenes and intimate scenes out of the entire trailer …. it seems normal and usual .. stop giving too much focus.” Following the tweet, another user replied, “Doing such scenes for his age with heroines who were almost half his age is not at all normal and usual.”

A video confirming her role surfaced on the same day when Trisha’s upcoming film’s trailer was released.
These made Trisha’s fans upset, and they started blaming Nayanthara’s team for stealing the spotlight.
