Every week, Vogue’s Best Dressed list highlights the most glamorous fashions that Hollywood red carpets have to offer. But thanks to this week’s Cannes Film Festival in France, you can consider the stakes officially raised. A-listers such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, and Amal Clooney (all of whom made cameos at the star-studded film festival this weekend), wore some of the week’s most memorable designs—showstopping looks marked by sharp silhouettes and blinding diamond jewels, of course.

The Cannes festival has a long history of extreme glamour (and some rebellious dressers, too) so it was only natural that this week saw plenty of statement style. At the premiere of her film Die, My Love, Jennifer Lawrence wore a pleated and sculptural Dior gown that was inspired by the French maison’ 1940s archives. Chic. Equally as refined was Angelina Jolie in her draped one-shouldered Tom Ford gown, and Sabrina Elba in an asymmetric long-sleeved Schiaparelli dress. What the looks lacked in bright hues or prints, they made up for in perfect tailoring.

There were some splashes of color this week, too. Kristen Stewart continued her Chanel streak in a pink tweed cardigan and sheer tulle skirt combination. On anyone else, the look could feel too sugary and sweet, but the star gave it some much-needed edge with her Barbie-pink dip-dyed hair. Equally as spring-ready was Juliette Binoche in her Jacquemus jumpsuit with an oversized collar. The jury member has been serving effortless-French style all week long—but the jumpsuit was one of her very best thus far.

Which were your favorite celebrity looks this week? Vote below, and check back on Friday to see who Vogue readers crowned best dressed.
