NEW DELHI: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday declared that India is dedicated to global peace and while the country holds no enmity towards anyone, it has the strength to “teach them a lesson” if provoked.Addressing a gathering at Guru Ravinath Ashram in Harmara, Jaipur, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke on ‘Operation Sindoor,’ without naming Pakistan, and said, “India will progress in every field; it should. India doesn’t have enmity with anyone, but if someone dares, India has the strength to teach them a lesson; it should have this strength. India does things which are required to exist in the world.”He further continued that while India is deeply committed to global peace and welfare, the world only respects strength. Speaking about the recent action against Pakistan, he stated that while India does not hate anyone, “but the world listens to the language of love and welfare only when you have power.”“This is the nature of the world. This nature cannot be changed. So for the welfare of the world, we need to be powerful and the world has seen our strength,” Bhagwat said.“The world’s welfare is our religion. This is especially a firm duty of Hinduism,” he added. The RSS chief further continued that promoting global welfare is central to Hindu values and described India’s role as that of an elder brother working for harmony and peace. He also noted how India was the first to help when Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives faced crises.“When Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives were facing a crisis, India was the first to assist them. While the entire world uses them for their own benefits, India has always assisted them. This is despite them sometimes even taking actions against us,” he said.Further, highlighting India’s legacy of sacrifice, Bhagwat said, “We worship and respect everyone from Lord Shri Ram to Bhamashah.”
