Vera Wang may be turning 76 next month, but don’t expect to see her sprawled on a chaise sipping a cocktail anytime soon.
The legendary fashion designer told Page Six Style that she has no plans to retire.
“I just seem to have a very full calendar the year ahead,” she explained at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party, “so I’m just trying to get through it.”
That jam-packed calendar also includes the release of a new perfume called “Love,” which Wang says has hints of vanilla and amber, and an ultra-rare main ingredient: the scent of the “Queen of the Night” flower, which is known for its striking bloom that lasts for only one night, once a year.
When we jokingly wondered whether she could perhaps be a vampire due to her youthful appearance, Wang disagreed.
“I’m not ageless at all,” she replied. “I think I spend most of my life working and when I’m not working, I’m trying to raise my daughters, so both those things kept me kind of busy, actually.”
The bridal gown designer has previously told Page Six that she also credits her good looks and longevity to junk food and vodka.
“I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely,” she shared in 2023. “I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”
Wang is also fond of Dunkin’ Donuts.
“I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut,” she said. “It’s like a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too.”
In 2020, the style guru went viral for her ageless appearance after posting pics of herself, then 70, modeling an orange sports bra and denim shorts.
At the time, Wang admitted to being “totally shocked” by the incredulous online response, telling fans on Instagram that her anti-aging secrets included “work, sleep, a vodka cocktail [and] not much sun.”
Other celebs at the gala included Elizabeth Hurley, “Orange is the New Black” alum Emma Myles and ballerina Misty Copeland.
