Nicole Kidman is trading in her wellness cult leader duds for a crisp suit at the premiere of Nine Perfect Strangers season two.
The actor, who reprises her role as Masha Dmitrichenko, the Russian founder of a suspicious wellness retreat, turned to Haider Ackermann for her premiere look. Kidman, styled by Jason Bolden, chose look 50 from Ackermann’s inaugural Tom Ford collection: a black sequined single-breasted blazer with a plunging neckline that landed below her sternum, sharp shoulders, and a frozen white gardenia on her lapel. Along with the svelte trousers, Kidman wore a pair of black leather gloves and black pointy-toe pumps.
Nicole Kidman is far from the only fan of Ackermann’s Tom Ford. Cate Blanchett opted for a more colorful take on the designer’s impeccable suiting, wearing a pale pink suit with a neon green blouse for Black Bag press in March. Michelle Williams, meanwhile, chose a black double-breasted number while promoting Dying for Sex in April. And that’s, of course, nothing to say of Ackermann‘s number-one fan, Timothée Chalamet, who wore a black velvet double-breasted suit to the David Di Donatello Awards in Rome just last week.
With all of these stylish celebrities on board, we can expect to see much more of Haider Ackermann’s sharp tailoring off the runway.
